Do you have a kickstarter site? I would like to link friends to it.

(if by soe reason you don’t, https://www.kickstarter.com/start?ref=learn_top)

    • This sounds interesting.
The only problem right now is: we are not sure whether we will start our crowdfunding with kickstarter. Kickstarter would be our preferred platform but up to now they don’t support any projects by German startups. Once this is guaranteed, we’ll create a kickstarter site.

oh, thanks for letting me know! BTW… if you do get a kickstarter up and running let me know, I’ll make a huge post on “Imgur” (the original Instagram) The Imgur Community is FULL of PC Gamers, I Guarantee it!

  • Is this in-game?

I found a small bug while playing… when you get to the part of the tutorial where you use the space bar, (Pre-Lea) and you press it but you don’t hold it, it prevents you from using the “Slash-Arts” but the freeze-frame that tells you to use the space bar will pause your game when your not holding the spacebar.

    • Hi there!
If I understand correctly this behaviour is actually intended. You’re supposed to hold down the spacebar for a longer time to keep charging. Only once you charged long enough you’ll get the message to release the spacebar to use the attack. If you leave the spacebar before that you get a message to keep it pressed.

  • I don’t know if this is best place to post this but, The demo was awesome. I can’t wait for the full release and I Wish you all at radical fish the best of luck. =D

  • Guys, this game kicks some serious ass. I cannot express how excited I am about this. This has so much potential I went to bed at 4am playing this game and trying all the modes.

Please release more demos for your Kickstarter announcement.

(BTW, will give impactJS a try, how did you guys feel about it? :) )

    • Thanks! We’ll try to add more content for the kickstarter demo. :D

impact.js is a great engine to get started with HTML5 development, especially for developers. The engine is quite minimalistic and well written, so if you’re familiar with JavaScript it’s possible to grasp the whole engine code. It also demonstrates a clean way of working with JavaScript using a class and module system.

Just be aware that it’s not quite possible to create a game like CrossCode with impact.js right away. We had to extend the engine quite a bit. For instance, we rewrote the rendering and physics engine more or less completely.

If you plan to create a 2D platformer or a basic top-down 2D game (without several layers of depth) impact.js is quite sufficient.

I think you guys should make /r/crosscode it is not taken… YET

  • Awesome,
What do I get when I hit lvl 99 in the Exploration phase? ;-P

is this in steam greenlight? it’s a good place to get popularity. btw… as long as there are no bugs that will destroy my game, I wouldn’t mind if you put out more development snapshots. I’m okay with a few bugs, but I’m REALLY looking forward to the rest of the game.

This is an amazing game, would be the easiest 2015 GOTY for me. If you don’t mind me asking, may I post to the /r/gaming subreddit? You can gain a lot more fans/downloads/etc. if you post there.

But serioously, awesome game, will buy, and good luck to the devs. Looking forward to more.

    • Uhm… whoops! Why did we not answer this?!
So yeah, of course we’d be glad if crosscode was posted in reddit. We need all the exposure we can get. @_@

  • Does anyone know where this room actually is? Need a little help.

Quick Question: Do you think you would be able to implement a companion in story mode? Like a LAN player of sorts? I know that fundamentaly changes puzzles and the concepts of the game, but i just realized it would be a hoot playing with pals :)

    • The idea is awesome, of course. As you say, it would influence the way the game works – a lot. On top of that, it is technically quite challenging to implement multiplayer over LAN or the internet.
That’s why we probably won’t add multiplayer for now – at least for the first release.
If the game is successful enough, we might reconsider these kind of features again. :D
