First CrossCode fanart contest & Indiegogo updates

A happy new week to everyone!

Today we have a special announcement to make, involving you. Yes, YOU, our fans! Because we are planning to do the first official “CrossCode Fanart Contest”!

fanart-contest

Everyone can participate and have fun creating fanart for the game. All characters, enemies or other topics are fine, as long as it’s directly related to CrossCode. Wanna draw Captain Jet having random adventures with his trusty jetpack, a group of Meerkats rocking out or Lea’s Fanboy fawning over his stash of CrossWorlds merchandize? Go for it! You can also show everyone your work before the deadline!
Of course the entries are limited to art that we can actually show in public, so keep it safe for work.

Participate by sending your art to:
fanart@radicalfishgames.com
Submission Deadline: March 20th, 8pm (GMT+0100)

And because it is a proper contest, there will be prices as well for the three entries that we like best. A detailed explanation of the prices can be found among the perks on our Indiegogo campaign. You can send in as many entries as you like, but only win one price. If you already got the perk in question you could just get two of those… or we’ll think of something else!

1st place: Poster + T-Shirt + Custom Avatar (see “Avatar”-perk)
2nd place: Poster + T-Shirt + Custom Statue or Monitor (see “VIP”-perk)
3rd place: Poster + Custom Food (see “Chef”-perk)

Disclaimer: The material goods (poster & T-Shirts) will only be available if the crowdfunding is successful. The other prices will definitely be included once the game is finished, one way or another.

We are looking forward to your entries!

Indiegogo updates, round 2

All the Indiegogo updates can be found here and be read in greater detail. On this blog we’ll just give you a small summary as follows:

  1. How to upgrade pledges and use transformation magic to pay in € with whatever currency you normally use
  2. Sanctuary Crew streams CrossCode with Lachsen and RD
  3. Mysterious poster design and press/Youtube roll
  4. What happens if the campaign doesn’t reach it’s goal (unknown release date & full refund!), an idle pose and the weekly developer livestream

And that’s it for now! We’ll see each other soon enough, because I smell a fresh new game version lurking around…

  • AHHHH YEAH BABY, definitely going to be on this :D

  • Hmm… I’d ask if fanfiction is possible instead, given I’m not much of an artist, but sadly the material for writing much is lacking. Would have to be a ‘novelization’ of the demo story, proceed on guesswork and blatant invention, or something creative like advertisements or news reports on CrossWorlds.

    Annoying.

Either way, looking forward to the new game version. Managed to tie up all of the demo yesterday, and I’m left wanting more.

E-mail isn’t real, just wanting to comment once at least.

I love you, all of you. It is an absolute travesty that the internet would pay tens of thousands to some moron so they can make potato salad (yes, really) and yet your fantastic beautiful awesome game (WITH HUGE DEMO) gets neglected and forgotten.

    What a shame :(

There was a great deal more that I wanted to post but I’ll TLDR it here:

1 – I found some nifty bugs but rather than type them out or describe them I’ll show them to ya’ll in a YouTube video IF you really want me to do so. Jesus got nothin on this water-walkin superstar ;)

2 – Playing with a controller is DIVINE and it seems the only way that I could see Lea’s walking animations. Who knew? O_O

3 – Holy cow this demo is huge, it took me well over 3+ hours to get through just the story mode. Love the easter egg you put in as soon as you perform a certain action after spawning on the cargo ship. It is ripe for negative possibility space & achievements. The Puzzle and Exploration modes should keep me busy quite a while longer.

I’ve already e-mailed you all before (my ‘e-mail’ should be a nice hint) about how awesome guarding can be.
Take care and don’t give up! :)

  • That’s gonna be awesome! Can’t wait to see all the awesome fanarts :D

  • Sweet, looking forward to the entries ^^

  • Nice !
    But,
I wondering about the “prices” for three like best.
If someone win, So They have to pay same as the price for “Avatar”/ “VIP” / “Chef”-perk ?
Can you please explain more about what was that mean ?
    Sry,
But I really don’t really understand about that one.

    • Okay, this answer comes a bit late. Sorry about that. Winners will get all the content of the “Avatar”,”VIP”, and “Chef” Perk and don’t need to pay anything at all.
If the winner already bought the perk they won (or a close one) we can just think of other prices.

  • With the update to the campaign, it sounds like the contest is being extended, but I don’t know? Is there any information on what’s going on there?

    • Hey!
We don’t really plan to extend the deadline of the contest. It will still be today at 8pm (GMT+0100) +/- a few hours.
We plan to post the results this Sunday. :D
