Hello everycabbage,
The dawn is upon us. The… ALABASTER DAWN … Early Access Version.
You can now buy it on Steam, here:
Okay let’s move on!
Why Early Access
You might be wondering why we are using Early Access with this game, especially considering how unusual that model is for story-driven RPGs. The short answer would be to get valuable player feedback, support longer development, and because it already worked very well for us with our previous game, CrossCode.
What to expect: The initial version includes a part of the full story (the first 1 1/2 chapters) but all available content is polished and close to the final result. From here on out, we will add more content as Early Access continues until we reach the end of the story and finish the game.
For the longer, more comprehensive answer, you can refer to the Early Access section on our Steam store page!
If you are still undecided and have not played the demo, you can of course still find it here:
New Content
The demo of Alabaster Dawn was already quite long and the Early Access version 0.1.0 will obviously go quite a bit further!
Luckily, your saves from the demo will be compatible with the Early Access version – just keep in mind that your progress will be slightly set back so you won’t miss any of the content the demo skipped. You will start right after finishing the story “Branching Out”.
Here is a rough list of new things added:
- The full first area, including parts you weren’t able to access before
- The complete first dungeon (the demo only featured the first half!)
- A large new area after the dungeon
- The second settlement
- An extended story, both before and after the end of the demo
- 6 optional side quests in Lyhamn
- 2 optional dungeons + another bigger optional puzzle
- Several new enemies and bosses!
- More Divine Arts
- A new element
- A new weapon
- The new Roguelite Mode will become available towards the end of the available plot of this release! We talked about it in an older post
Overall you can expect about 5-10~ hours of gameplay, depending on your playstyle and desire for completion. We expect this to be around 20% of the full game, yay!
Of course we expect that future content will be developed quicker because the foundation is already finished!
Localizations
The initial version of the game will only feature English and Chinese localization. We plan to add more localizations as development continues, potentially during Early Access.
We will also prioritize adding a German localization within the following months.
Alright, that’s it for now!
As always, thank you for reading our updates and for your continued support!
Until next time!

Hi, how are the odds for a GoG release?
Lea!
Amazing work. Your game is wonderful, I love it!
If you are considering a French localization after/with the German one, I’d love to offer my application, as I am a professional translator.
I think you’ve got my email if you’re interested. Else, i’m on X with the same nickname.
Keep up the great work, looking forward to it!
Do you guys have any intention in adding a brazilian portuguese translation?
